The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Blazers and Lady Blazers faced the San Beda University (SBU) Red Spikers and Lady Red Spikers, respectively, on Feb. 25 at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila. While both teams showed impressive athleticism and teamwork, the Lady Blazers emerged victorious with a sweeping win against the Lady Red Spikers, 3-0, while the Benilde Blazers fell short in a closely contested match against San Beda, 1-3.

The Lady Blazers started off strong, with a commanding presence on the court and impressive plays that left the Lady Red Spikers struggling to keep up. With a combination of powerful spikes by Jessa Dorog alongside Jade Gentapa and Gayle Pascual, the Lady Blazers quickly gained the upper hand, taking the first set, 25-14.

The Lady Red Spikers fought back in the second set, showing off their own skills and determination. However, it was not enough to overcome the Lady Blazers' strong offense and solid defense, as the Lady Blazers took the second set with a score of 25-15.

In the final set, the Lady Blazers showed no signs of slowing down, maintaining their lead and ultimately winning the match with a final score of 25-14.

Meanwhile, the Benilde Blazers faced a tough opponent in San Beda, with both teams battling it out. Despite failing to gain momentum in the first two sets of the match, Neil Ryan Manalo, alongside Leonard Jaboli of the Benilde Blazers, led their team to show off their skills, with impressive teamwork in the third set that kept them in the game, 25-18.

However, San Beda proved to be a formidable opponent, with solid defense and strategic plays that ultimately gave them the edge. Despite the Benilde Blazers' best efforts, they fell short in the end, with San Beda taking the match with a final score of 18-25, 14-25, 25-18, 21-25.

The #BenildeBlazers and #LadyBlazers are set to face the Perpetual Altas and Lady Altas on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the same venue. The games will be aired live on the NCAA Philippines social media pages.
