In celebration of the project’s decade-long initiative of advocating for environmental stewardship and electronic waste (e-waste) awareness in the country, UP Circuit’s “The E-Waste Project” (TEP) presents #TEPTalks, a series of webinars that will take place on April 30 and May 21 via Zoom and Facebook Live.

Aiming to raise awareness regarding responsible e-waste management whether physically or virtually, UP Circuit, a non-profit and non-partisan student organization from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute (EEEI) of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman, launches #TEPTalks as part of their online information campaign from April 8 to June 11, 2022.

The first part of the webinar series entitled “E-Waste In10sity and its Impact on Society” will tackle the basics of e-wastes, the present state of e-waste in the country, and its effect on the people and planet. It will be held on April 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, the second installment of #TEPTalks webinar series “Keeping Up E-Waste Management with Technological Advancements,” which will take place on May 21 from  2 p.m. to 4 p.m., will focus on bridging the gap between technological advancements and e-waste management practices.

Aside from #TEPTalks, TEP’s online information campaign also includes mini-events that run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from April to June through the project’s Tiktok and Instagram accounts. The main events include a digital art and a video-making contest that will be conducted from May 7 to June 5, 2022.
