The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) will be preparing for the opening of its 97th season on Mar. 5, with the theme “Stronger Together.”

Similar to the previous season, chess and taekwondo sports events will be performed online. On the other hand, the colleges are still awaiting announcements on whether basketball and volleyball will be played depending on the alert level status brought upon by COVID-19.

“We at St. Benilde have prepared for bubble training in basketball and volleyball before the change in the alert level classification,” Center for Sports Development (CSD) Director Mr. Stephen Fernandez stated on the Sports Radio.

As of writing, the NCAA member schools are still waiting for a go signal from the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) and the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for teams to train under the Alert Level 3 under their respective training bubbles.
