Celebrating 30 years of music with Coro San Benildo’s anniversary concert


In celebration of their 30th anniversary, Coro San Benildo remembers their storied history of serving through music with a virtual concert on Nov. 13.

Coro San Benildo, the College’s official resident chorale group, will celebrate their 30th anniversary with “PAGMAYA: Coro at 3D,” a virtual concert remembering the growth and history that has spanned for over three decades.

 

To keep you in the loop on all things Coro, here is the set of “PAGMAYA” events for the month of November.

 

  • Thanksgiving Mass

Last Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m, Coro honored their roots and extended their gratitude, having started as the previous resident ministry choir through a live Thanksgiving mass, streamed on their Facebook page.

 

  • Tiktok launch

To branch out and strengthen their online presence, Coro also joined TikTok一featuring covers of different songs and paving the way for more opportunities to engage with their audiences. Check them out on TikTok: @corosanbenildo!

 

  • Coro Backstage

Coro also launched a podcast series featuring conversations with the alumni members. As guest speakers, they shared their notable performances, experiences in the global competitions and with the audition process, as well as being part of the Coro family.

  • Coro Concert

To formally culminate the 30th anniversary celebration, Coro will showcase a virtual concert titled “PAGMAYA: Coro at 3D,” live streamed on their official Facebook page on Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. The concert will feature performances by different batches of Coro members, reminiscing the many stories throughout the years.

 

Coro San Benildo is managed by the Benilde Culture and Arts Unit (BCAU), a formation office for Benildean student-artists, guided by Mr. Lorenzo C. Gealogo, choral director and choirmaster maestro. Throughout the years, the chorale group received seven international titles in competitions from Asia, North America, and Europe, and released their own album in 2018.
