De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde launched its very first online portfolio exhibit “GENESIS: Eminence Emerging” on July 26 via Facebook Live to showcase the artistry and craftsmanship of the pioneer batch from the College’s renewed Multimedia Arts curriculum.

Other than recognizing the students’ outstanding efforts and capabilities, GENESIS also served as a testament to individuals who have excelled and proven their worth in their craft.

The most outstanding student portfolios who were chosen for a chance to elevate their careers towards their internships were recognized by prominent jurors such as content studio LAMP, online design and publishing tool Canva, and Manila and Singapore-based integrated creative and marketing agency Willow Creative House.

Towards the end of the exhibit, Vice Chancellor for Academics Mr. Geronio Ulayao reminded students of the temporal nature of things, especially the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We have been doing our very best to cope with the current situation for almost two years now, and I trust that you have not lost hope that things will become better soon,” he expressed.

Ulayao encouraged the young student artists to hold onto their creativity and resilience during trying times, which serves as a testament of character to soldier on amidst the insurmountable challenges that are currently being faced globally.
