In conjunction with the annual General Awareness Week (GAW),  Benilde Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will launch its interview series “E-BOTO: Raise your Voice” from Aug. 24 to Sept. 1, 2021 via their official Facebook page to promote Student Government candidate applications and foster the right to suffrage in the upcoming General and Frosh elections.

The said interview series will feature interviews with Benildean student voters about the importance of the right to suffrage. Insights and experiences from former Central Student Government (CSG) and School Student Government (SSG) officers will also be showcased, highlighting the reasons why they ran for their respective positions and how the experience changed their lives as a student and a leader.

GAW is a yearly event organized by Benilde COMELEC to call aspiring student leaders to run for candidacy and encourage the student body to exercise their rights to vote by posting publication materials on their Facebook page.

This year’s GAW will open on Aug. 23 and run until Sept. 6, 2021 for all bonafide Benildean students who want to take part in the elections—may it be as a voter or as a candidate.

Benilde COMELEC is the sole, independent body tasked to hold, supervise, and regulate student elections of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde.
