Benilde extends tuition payment to Sept 19 without surcharge


As “Virtual Benilde” begins on Sept.7, the College’s Finance Department laid out instructions for tuition payment without surcharge, refunding of unused laboratory fees, and other payment concerns.

With the ongoing enrollment for the online First Term of Academic Year (AY) 2020-2021, the College’s Finance Department (FD) announced the extension of tuition payment without surcharge to Sept. 19, the application of unused laboratory fees, pending clearance concerns, and payment options for students before the term begins.

In a letter addressed to the Benildean community dated August 28, 2020, Vice President for Finance Ms. Marilyn Cimatu laid out the following clarifications: 

 

Surcharge waived for first term

The deadline for tuition payment without surcharge is extended to Sept. 19, previously dated on Sept. 6. Enrollment beyond Sept. 19 will no longer be accommodated, but students with financial concerns may send requests through this link. 

 

Unused laboratory fees to be applied for first term tuition

Unused laboratory fees from Second Term AY 2019-2020 may be automatically refunded by the Cashier upon payment, and credited to the tuition payment for First Term AY 2020-2021. The amount can be seen at the CLEARANCE module of the students’ respective Benilde SIS accounts. Students are required to send their proof of payment via Google form and are advised to indicate that the refund has been applied in the “remarks” portion.

The credits may be appplied for the Second Term AY 2020-2021 enrollment, however students must contact the FD regarding this for further clarifications.

On installment payment

Students with ID Numbers 119 and below may compute their installment through the PAYMENT TERM CALCULATOR at Benilde SIS. For ID 120, freshmen, and transferees, their installment can be computed upon enrollment by adding 50% of the tuition amount and P1,000 installment fee, due on or before October 17, 2020. Scholars may pay the total assessed amount net of grants in two to three installments.
