The De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) Blazers defeated the Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL) Knights in three sets, 25-21, 25-16, 25-22, in NCAA Season 95, earlier today, Jan. 20, at the FilOil Flying V Centre, San Juan.

With Ruvince Abrot, Owen Bacani, and Roniey Adviento on deck during the first set, the Letran Knights struggled to keep up with the momentum as they attempted to stop the bleeding with Brylle Novo’s attacks, but fell short by the end of the set, 25-21.

The Blazers opened the second set with a two-point advantage against the Knights. With Bacani’s back-to-back attacks, contributing nine points alongside Jericho Fajardo’s 22 excellent sets, the Taft squad maintained their lead by nine points, 25-16.

As the Knights hope to steal a set, the Blazers were unstoppable as Ryan Daculan scored back-to-back attacks, contributing five points. Despite a charging Letran Angel Canzana leading the Intramuros squad with nine points, the last set of the match ended in favor of the Benilde Blazers, 25-22.

The DLS-CSB Blazers will be facing the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals on Jan. 23, at the same venue.
