Explore his pointillism to neo-impressionism styles of paintings with Starry Starry Night, Vase With 12 Sunflowers, Cafè Terrace at Night, and Blossoming Almond Trees. As you pass by, you are soon immersed into the breathtaking multi-sensory story of Van Gogh’s paintings, reaching from floor to ceiling LED screens.

Van Gogh’s perspective shines through his art even as these are only projected through hypermedia screens. Viewers would surely perceive adoration for Vincent’s life as they pace through his works.
Among all of these, the finest feature was the parallel motion of each painting, making it view everything at once. The multi-sensory representation of the paintings are viewed in a way in which a variety of ardour is symbolized articulating Vincent’s concepts.
Feelings of artistry, innovation, and vision will encompass one’s being in the full immersion of its entirety. Plunging deeper as it may seem, Vincent’s favoritism towards the color yellow is perceived as a principal hue in the majority of his paintings. His still self-portraits with soft-stroke and contemporary style of illustration magnificently is embellished from head to chest on the transmission canvas.
Walking along the corridors of the museum, posted on the walls are quotes by Van Gogh that would resonate with anyone who reads them.

One of these quotes expressed the artiste’s love for sunflowers stating: “The sunflower is mine, in a way.” Such fondness of a single mundane object is a staple motif within the atmosphere of the gallery.
Van Gogh’s bewildering statements about life—“I don’t know anything with certainty, but seeing the stars makes me dream”—shows an insight to the painter’s mind that brims with optimism despite the hurdles faced in his lifetime. Through his words, the audience will encounter a brief look of his perceptions in life during the duration of the show.
Towards the end of the exhibit, the final adage alluded is one that will leave visitors wanting to know Vincent Van Gogh more as if he was alive today.
“You can’t be at the pole and the equator at the same time. You must choose your own life, as I hope to do, and it will probably be color.”
This featured expression by Vincent conveys his acclaimed love for artistic depiction in life. One man’s love for color, art, and creation is something many would ponder on as they explore this exhibit.
The Van Gogh Alive exhibit runs until December 8 at the One Bonifacio High Street in BGC, Taguig City. Tickets are ₱450 (student and children) and ₱750 (adult).
