Serving its scrumptious Latin American-inspired dishes, Titto’s Latin BBQ and Brew provides a wide palette of flavors. With its colorful murals, rustic lighting, and mismatched chairs, Titto’s gives a chill yet fun-filled ambiance to enjoy good food and company.

In an interview with The Benildean, Executive Chef and Co-founder Jerwyn Rabo, a graduate of Benilde’s Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management (HRIM) program under the Culinary Arts track, and later on who taught in the College, said, “Titto’s Latin BBQ and Brew is basically a Latin-American inspired restaurant; so it goes around the concept of family and friends.”

Founded by a team of Lasallian 2016 alumni, Titto’s offers an enticing array of flavors with Filipino roots and inspirations drawn from Asian, European and most of all, Latin American cuisine.

One of the must-tries at Titto’s is the Nachos El Gigante; a large platter of crispy corn nachos lathered in melted cheese and Mexican crema, garnished with a heaping serving of beef barbacoa chunks, jalapeno slices, and pico de gallo. With its Media (Php 295, for 3 people) and Grande (Php 545, good for 6 people) servings, customers would surely give the Nacho meal a thumbs up!

“Most of the food here that you see is for the cool concept of being festive, and being surrounded by your friends and family. Ganun ‘yung gusto namin i-portray. That’s why you seldom see in the menu ‘yung parang paisa-isa na items,” Rado added.

Next up is a mouthwatering twist to the classic deep-fried burrito. Chiquittos (Php 175) is a golden brown, deep-fried chicken burritos served with the flavorful salsa taquera and garnished with pico de gallo, queso fresco, and Mexican crema.

Among the restaurant’s fan favorites, are its pizzadillas, which taste exactly as it sounds—putting the best elements of a pizza and quesadilla together. The Truffle Pork Pizzadilla (Php 345) is exceptionally scrumptious with its ingredients from thin tortilla pizza and truffle bechamel sauce base, topped with juicy, torched pork belly slices, a large coating of melted cheese, as well as a garnish of garlic bits and exotic Latin spices.

Furthermore, a fiesta meal would not be complete without rice. From the restaurant’s paella dishes, Paella de Carne serves as the must try. This dish is a meat lover’s paradise with heavenly amounts of bacon, lava-grilled chicken mojo, Spanish chorizo sausage, ground chorizo, and smoked paprika laid out on a bed of orange sofrito rice, and garnished with soft-boiled egg and string beans. Serving sizes vary in: Media (Php 445, good for 3 to 5 people) and Grande (Php 745, good for 6 to 8 people).

Behind the “Vault”

After a hearty meal, customers can continue their fiesta in the restaurant’s little secret—the Vault, a small bar hidden behind one of the restaurant’s wall panels. With low lighting and dark designs, the bar is a stark contrast to the restaurant’s  brightly-colored dining interiors.

As for their house specialties, some must-try specialty cocktails include the Hidden Paradise (Php 270) which is a sweet, tropical mix made of gin, lychee, aloe vera juice, lime and grapes. For a stronger mix of flavors, try the Tamarind Sours (P280), a concoction of whiskey, tamarind puree, passion fruit, egg whites and bitters.

Furthermore, Marketing Leader Winslow Co explained its drinks and cocktails are made inhouse.

“All our concepts now are mostly focused on the restaurant but, we always want the full experience so we wanted people to have fun here eating then after they can go inside and party a little bit. It’s a full experience that we want kasi kami nung bata-bata pa kami ganun, nagdi-dinner kami tas we’d go to the club and party so we wanted that same experience sa customers namin,” Co explained.

Ultimately, Titto’s Latin BBQ & Brew has an excellent ambiance in both the restaurant and bar to hang out with family and friends; spectacularly colorful dishes that hold a surprising array of flavors with each bite, and finally a wonderful selection of fine liquors and house blends to cap off the experience.
