To the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) he goes. After a year of hopes and anticipation, King Blazer, Jonathan Grey finally makes it to the country’s professional basketball league. He was selected by the Meralco Bolts as the seventh pick, in the second round of the PBA regular Draft class of 2016 last Sunday, October 30, held at the Robinson’s Mall, Manila.
The former De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazer standout finally achieved his goal after one year of eligibility to enter the PBA draft class. Grey, who graduated with an Export Management degree, will join Carlo Lastimosa and Paolo Taha, current PBA players from the College.
Meralco Bolts, the team that Grey will suit up for, will start their championship campaign this coming November 20, when the PBA All-Filipino season will commence. The Bolts were close to winning the championship title last season, but lost to Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in a tight game six matchup.

The pride of the Blazers, is set to train and play under Coach Norman Black, one of the elite coaches in the country’s professional league today.
