Prepare to be booked: The Big Bad Wolf is back!

Come one, come all! Big Bad Wolf, the annual Malaysian book fair, will be held for the first time in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) from November 5 to 15!

Dubbed the world’s biggest book sale, Big Bad Wolf is set to return with a howl from November 5 to 15 at the Park Triangle Mall in Bonifacio Global City with the theme, “There’s a Book for Every Kind of You.”

In its ninth year in the Philippines, Big Bad Wolf Books is returning to Metro Manila, making its BGC debut this November with a significantly wider selection of fiction, internationally bestselling titles, collectible editions, children’s books, and hard-to-find reads, alongside discounts of up to 95%.

Big Bad Wolf was first held in the Philippines in 2018. Since then, it has been held in Pasay, Alabang, and Quezon City, and has since expanded to different cities across the country, including Cebu, Davao, General Santos, and Olongapo. This year marks the first time the Malaysia-based book sale will be held in the premier business district.

Worth the wait

This year’s Big Bad Wolf is packed with bundles of surprises that make it absolutely worth the wait!

For bookworms who find themselves in an uncontrollable urge to go book shopping late at night, worry no more! Though the book sale will be held in a mall, the event will be open from 10 a.m. to midnight, giving readers ample time to browse and explore the event’s numerous selections.

Adding to the excitement is the arrival of Goldsboro Books, an independent bookstore in the United Kingdom based in Westminster, London, that specializes in signed hardback first edition books, rare collectibles, and exclusive special editions. With this, Filipino readers will be granted access to limited first-edition signed copies and numbered volumes that would traditionally require an overseas trip to find.

Jacqueline Ng, the founder and executive director of Big Bad Wolf Books, stated that Filipinos should grab this opportunity as Goldsboro Books rarely crops up in book fairs in general, let alone in Southeast Asia.

Aside from the Goldsboro editions, Big Bad Wolf will also expand its fiction and children’s section. Fiction lovers and curious families will now find it easier to browse through unique titles and noteworthy authors with prices as low as ₱60, with more than two million copies up for grabs.

As in years past, entrance to the book sale is free, with no prior registration needed. Drop by in the morning, after work hours, or even late at night with a friend!
