In partnership with Naga City and the approval of former Philippine Vice President and now Mayor Leonor “Leni” Robredo, the Tourism Management (BS-TM) program’s home organization, Travelers in Progress (TRIP), will hold their 50th Travel and Tourism Exposition (TTE).
This event, happening on March 16 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m at the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez (ARG) Theater, Taft Campus, will allow first-year students from the School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management (SHRIM) program of Benilde to share their ideas that contribute to appreciation of the city’s unique heritage.
For over 16 years, TRIP prepared an event where SHRIM students can join and hone their skills for life after graduation. They present “Pusong Nagueño: Pagsinta para sa Naga,” celebrating the culture, undiscovered attractions and delicacies of the city with the use of digital marketing.
The event features “TAGLAY: Digital Tourism Marketing Competition (DTMC),” where students will be required to brainstorm and work together to rebrand Naga City using digital platforms to give emphasis on the city’s unique and growing heritage. A talk titled “The Bucketlist Family: Philippines as the 100th Country,” led by the Gee Family, who are so-called family travel journalists.
