The De La Salle University community prepares to celebrate the 37th year of DLSU-For the Kids (FTK), one of the university’s biggest social events, with a face-to-face culminating gathering on Feb. 1 at the Henry Sy Sr. Grounds
Under the moving theme of “HARAYA: A Festival of Dreams,” this year’s event continues with a legacy that began in 1984—having touched the lives of more than 11,000 children with disabilities from various Special Education centers and schools across Luzon.
Compassionate legacy
DLSU-FTK stands as a specialized mini-olympics organized by the Center for Social Concern and Action–Lasallian Outreach and Volunteer Effort (COSCA-LOVE) volunteers, dedicated to children with special needs including those with Autism, Down syndrome, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy, vision impairment, hearing and speech disabilities and intellectual disabilities.
The event partners up with 20 special education centers to raise awareness and promote inclusivity within the community. This year’s gathering expects to bring together approximately 1,500 participants, including 400 children, 200 adult companions, and over 1,000 volunteers and partner organization representatives.
As the Lasallian community prepares to open its hearts once again, DLSU-FTK 2026 promises to be a memorable celebration of dreams, infused with the spirit of inclusive abilities and hope that has defined this beloved tradition for over three decades.
