Raise your voice and make a change with STRAINS’ #WeCan2022


Listen to the pleas of our nation and youth as the Student Trainers (STRAINS) will launch this year’s #WeCan advocacy week on May 18 to 21!

With the theme “Makabagong Pilipino para sa Makabagong Panahon,” “#WeCan2022: Pilipino para sa Pilipinas” aims to enlighten Filipino citizens about several societal issues threatening the country, as well as our indispensable role in nation building. The three-day event is filled with performances, opportunities, and activities to help shed light on these issues and empower the youth.

Rise up to the challenge

“#WeCan2022: Mga Tinig ng Tumindig” will feature distinguished speakers to inspire and educate Filipinos regarding the current reality of the country and their role in shaping the future. 

Guest speakers include National Adviser of Youth for Mental Health Coalition Dr. Gia Sison, former president of the Philippine Sociological Society Dr. Louie Ignacio, Executive Director of Global Youth Advocates Network Reyna Monica Gaspar, Co-Lead of the founding Community Pantry Ana Patricia Non, and Honorary Public Servant of the Year Awardee John Mark Jacinto

  • Mga Pahina ng Pag-Asa (Digital Album) - May 18
  • Mga Tinig ng Tumitindig (Roundtable Discussion) - May 20,  2:40 p.m. to 5:20 p.m. 
  • Bantayog ng Bagong Bayani (Culminating Performance) - May 21

Performances under “#WeCan2022: Bantayog ng Bagong Bayani” will be divided into two segments: “The Struggle Faced by Filipinos” and “The Hope for All Filipinos,” which aim to tell a story in line with this year’s event. 

Through the showcased performances and artworks, anyone can be a message of hope for all Filipinos in these trying times.
